I really liked these products and so, was dying to try the kajal as well. Actually, I was keeping an eye on the launch of this kajal and purchased it immediately after its launch. So, let’s see the detailed review of this kajal.

• The Lakme 9 TO 5 Naturale Gel Kajal comes packed in a light green and rose gold dual-toned coloured cardboard outer box.
• Inside the box, you will find a small pot that contains 3 gm of the product.
• The box also contains a small, thin brush applicator.
• Overall, the packaging is very cute. However, there is no cap provided on the brush so, it is recommended to wash it after every application.

Texture And Pigmentation

The gel kajal is quite smooth and has a creamy texture. It glides on easily. However, its pigmentation is not that opaque. Although, it looks jet black in the pot but it settles into a matte finish that looks more like charcoal black in colour.

My Take On Lakme 9 TO 5 Naturale Gel Kajal

Actually, I purchased this gel kajal due to the fact that it contains Aloe vera and calendula oil which are very beneficial for our eyes. Calendula oil has anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-viral and immuno-stimulating properties that help to reduce eye infections. Moreover, it protects the delicate tissues of the eyes from harmful UV radiations.

Now let’s come to its application part. The brush applicator makes the application really easy.  I was able to draw a thin line and went for a thick too. Moreover, the applicator is also good for creating wings and bolder shapes. However, if you prefer one swift stroke to line your eyes then you should skip this product. You can only take small individual strokes at a time and you need to repeatedly pick up the product with your applicator. For one application, I had to dip the applicator in the pot for about 3-4 times.

It was easy to apply the kajal on the lower lash line also with the applicator provided. The kajal doesn’t give any tingling sensation or any kind of irritation to the eyes. So, if you have sensitive eyes then you can definitely go for this kajal.

If you have oily eyelids, then I would recommend applying a concealer or compacting before the application of the product. Otherwise, it will start fading. Those who have normal to dry skin can use it on the eyelids easily. Though, the kajal is not smudge-proof but it will not smudge unless you rub your eyes vigourously. This gel kajal is waterproof so, it fulfills what it claims.

Now, let’s see the staying power of the kajal. It stayed for about 3-4 hrs on my lower lash line and started fading afterwards. On my upper lash line, it stayed for about 5-6 hours and after that, its intensity started reducing.
