Lakme has recently launched a foundation that comes with a built-in primer so, I thought to give it a try. I have purchased it in the shade W180 Warm Natural and here is its detailed review. My Experience With Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Perfect Cover Foundation

As shared above, I have this foundation in the shade W180 Warm Natural that I purchased online so, I was a little worried whether it will match my skin tone or not however, it really went well. The foundation has a flowy consistency and it has a mild flowery fragrance that doesn’t stay for long so, it will not bother sensitive noses.

As the foundation claims to have a built-in primer so, on half side of my face I applied it with additional primer and on the other half, I only applied this foundation. As the foundation has a flowy consistency, it spread really easily however, it glided a little smoother with a primer. Though, the foundation doesn’t highlight the pores so, you can easily skip the primer but if you have large pores then, I would suggest you apply a primer underneath this foundation.

I tried to blend this foundation with my fingers in circular motion and it really blended well. I also tried with a brush and sponge as well. With both the brush and sponge, it was easy to blend the foundation however, with a sponge, it was much easier. If I talk about the texture of this foundation then, I would say it is on the matte side. If you are having dry skin then, you definitely need to moisturize your skin well because it does cling on a little bit to the dry patches. The foundation offers a medium to buildable coverage and it gives a very smooth, natural finish and doesn’t really feel that I have something on my face. It really doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and that is, of course, a plus point.

Now, let’s talk about the longevity of the foundation. It really lasted well for 7-8 hours and I believe it would be a great option for people with oily skin. Another plus point about this foundation is that it doesn’t transfer much and is water-resistant as well. I also wanted to see whether the foundation oxidises or not and I have noticed it does oxidise half a shade, not much. Now, the foundation has SPF 20 so, I wanted to see if it gives a flashback or not and I noticed that there was just a little tonal change of the colour.

Overall, I really liked Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Perfect Cover Foundation and would definitely recommend trying this.

Not So Good About Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Perfect Cover Foundation

• Less shade availability for people with very fair and dark skin tones.
