I recently picked up some L’Oreal lipsticks from nykaa.com during the sale as I so wanted to try them out and it was the best time to grab them. In this post, I will be talking about Rouge Signature lipstick that has been launched this year only. I have got this lipstick in the shade 126 I Play and here is its detailed review. Packaging

L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick comes in a matte frosted tube and is provided with a matte black coloured screw cap on which the brand name is mentioned that looks like a badge. On the cap is given colour-coded sticker on which the shade number and name are given. However, you can easily see the shade from the tube only. The lipstick comes encased in a black coloured cardboard box that bears some product-related details. I absolutely loved the packaging as it is travel-friendly and there is no chance of the cap opening in the purse as it shuts with a click sound that ensures that it is properly locked.

My Experience With L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick – 126 I Play

The shade I Play is a deep rusty brownish shade that will suit all skin tones and I absolutely love such shades. The applicator provided is leaf-shaped, slanted, thin and has a pointed tip that helps in precise application. If you notice the applicator closely, you will see that there are some grooves running along its surface that helps to pick up the product in a proper amount. You don’t even need to double-dip the applicator in the tube for a single application. These little things really matter and help to make the product stand out amongst others. The lipstick has a mild sweet fragrance that will not bother sensitive noses as it vanishes after the application.

The lipstick has a thin, liquidy texture and it glides on the lips easily. Once I started with the application, I found that the lipstick gives wet, hydrating and a slight cooling effect to the lips. It has medium to buildable pigmentation and gives good colour pay off in a single swipe. The L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick takes around 1-2 minutes to settle and offers a soft-matte finish. It is so lightweight that you will not even feel that you have lipstick on your lips. It doesn’t get cakey or thick like other lipsticks. The best part about lipstick is that it doesn’t dry out the lips and is very comfortable to wear.

The lipstick is not smudge-proof and it transfers a little as well. On my lips, the lipstick stays for 4-5 hours without disturbing and after having a meal, it fades leaving behind a stain. In order to remove this lipstick, you need to use micellar water. I love to use Nivea Micellar Rosewater for this purpose.

Overall, I really liked L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick. It has quite a different formula that you should definitely give a try.

Not So Good About L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick

• Despite the decent but not amazing staying power, there is nothing that I disliked about this product.
