The Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Matte Gel SPF 50 comes in a bright orange coloured opaque plastic tube with a flip open cap. I really like such hygienic tube packaging as the product remains inside the tube untouched until you squeeze it out. The cap tightly secures the tube so, it is quite travel-friendly.

Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50 has a translucent white gel-like texture. It is neither thick like creams nor runny like lotion.

This Lotus sunscreen has a very mild and pleasant flowery fragrance. Therefore, it will not irritate sensitive noses.

Now, comes the most important part – Sun-protection. The Lotus Herbals Safe Sun UV Screen Matte Gel is SPF 50, PA +++. Hence, it offers good protection against both UVA and UVB rays. So, this is one of the best sunscreens available.
My Experience With Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Matte Gel SPF 50
The gel is non-sticky and spreads very easily on the skin. On application, it feels slightly soothing and cooling. It doesn’t require much of blending. Moreover, it leaves no white cast. It gives a natural shine free look even during summers which is awesome. It is capable enough to control oil for 2-3 hours and would work well for normal to oily skin types. In addition, it doesn’t irritate my skin. One little thing that bothers is, it doesn’t resist sweat and water. As it is not a water-proof sunscreen so, one needs to re-apply it once it gets washed down with sweat or water.

Sometimes, I mix it with my moisturizer or apply it directly on my bare skin. It effectively protects me against suntan for a shorter period of time. However, if you are out for longer durations, it is recommended to take it along for re-application. Re-application after every 2 hours is recommended.
Overall, the sunscreen is really effective and I am quite satisfied with the results. Therefore, I would definitely recommend buying it.
