I am a person who is not fond of matte liquid lipsticks as most of these lipsticks tend to make the lips dry. The moment I came to know that Maybelline Shine Compulsion Lipstick is available at nykaa.com, I decided to give this product a try. The lipstick comes in a beautiful, classy mirrored pink case. It comes wrapped in a transparent cover that bears the ingredient list, brand’s name, usage directions etc. The lid of the lipstick closes with a click sound ensuring that it is properly locked making it travel-friendly.

My Experience With Maybelline Shine Compulsion Lipstick

The shade Plum Nights is a beautiful plum shade that will suit every skin tone. It is not that bold colour that you can only wear on some occasions or parties. The shade is subtle and can be worn on everyday basis. I absolutely loved this shade.

Maybelline Shine Compulsion Lipstick has a super creamy texture. It just glides so smoothly on the lips just like melted butter. The application is very smooth and the shine it gives to the lips is gorgeous. The lipstick makes the lips appear a bit fuller. The good part is that it doesn’t have any fragrance so, it will not bother sensitive noses.

Maybelline Shine Compulsion Lipstick is quite pigmented and one swipe gives a nice pop of colour to the lips but it gets deeper and richer the more I build. As the lipstick contains oils, it gives a nice shot of hydration to the lips and keeps them moisturized. Though, the lipstick has such creamy and buttery formula but I didn’t experience any feathering or migration and the colour was there on the lips without moving around.

Let’s talk about the staying power of this lipstick. The stay time of any such creamy lipstick really depends on the type of food you are having. For example, if you are having pizza or burger, this lipstick is not going to stay. Without disturbing, it stays for 3-4 hours which for me is enough and then re-application is required. I usually pair up such lipsticks with a lip liner to increase their stay.

Overall, I am in love with Maybelline Shine Compulsion Lipstick as it is lightweight, hydrating & quite pigmented. Above all, I really like glossy lips and the shine that it gives to the lips is just amazing so, I just want to own all the shades.
