The lipstick comes in a glossy black casing and the branding is done on the cap in golden fonts. The packaging is quite similar to the ‘Matte’ variant and the only difference is that matte one has a matte outer finish and this one has a glossy finish. The packaging of both the lipsticks resembles the Mac Lipsticks. The lipstick itself comes encased in a golden cardboard box with all the product-related details mentioned on it. The shade number and name is given on the outer cardboard box and at the base of the lipstick. Overall, the packaging looks quite classy and is travel-friendly as well.

My Experience With Faces Canada Weightless Creme Finish Lipstick

I have purchased the lipstick in the shade Dark Cocoa 18 which is a beautiful dark chocolaty shade. I absolutely loved the shade and was actually looking for this shade only. However, when I received the lipstick and saw the sticker which is given at the base of the lipstick depicting the shade, I felt I made a mistake in choosing the shade as it was depicting something reddish-brown. So, the shade code is quite misleading.

The lipstick has a creamy texture as it is infused with shea butter, jojoba oil and almond oil and glides easily & smoothly on the lips. As the name suggests, it settles into a creamy finish and gives lips a smooth and silky feel. It just adds a nice sheen to the lips and due to this property, I just love creamy lipsticks as compared to the matte ones. However, I also prefer lipsticks that offer a comfortable velvety matte finish. The lipstick has a mild sweet fragrance that stays for some time.

Faces Canada Weightless Creme Finish Lipstick is decently pigmented and offers medium to high coverage. You need to give 2-3 swipes to get the opaque colour. Now, comes the best part of the lipstick; it keeps the lips moisturized making it perfect for those having dry lips. Moreover, it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the lips and thus justifies the name ‘weightless’.

Staying power

As we all know, creamy lipsticks are not smudge-proof and transfer-proof so, this lipstick also transfers. However, it can survive light snacks and drinks but cannot survive complete meals. On my lips, it stays for 3-4 hours without disturbing and needs re-application after having full meals. As far as I am concerned, I like creamy lipsticks and don’t mind reapplying them and such lipsticks are perfect for everyday use. So, if you are on a budget and looking for some lipsticks for daily use then, you can definitely try this lipstick.
