NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream comes in colour coordinated glossy tube. It is provided with a velvety soft black twist up lid to which is attached a doe-foot applicator that really helps in applying the colour evenly all over the lips. The shade number and name is given at the base of the tube. Overall, the packaging is really nice, sturdy and travel-friendly.

My Experience With NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Budapest

The shade Budapest is a unique shade and I am absolutely in love with it. According to me, it is a deep plum shade having brown undertones and I believe every skin tone can easily pull off this shade.

The lip cream has a smooth and moussey texture. It glides easily on the lips and gets applied almost juicy at first. With its doe-foot applicator, it is quite easy to apply it evenly on the lips. The lip cream takes around 10 minutes to settle down into a matte finish so, one gets sufficient time to play with it. It is quite buildable and doesn’t feel patchy or cakey even with multiple layers.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is superbly pigmented and if you have pigmented lips then, you only need two coats to get the opaque colour. It has a mild sweet fragrance that is not overpowering and will not bother sensitive noses. One thing which is notable, the lip cream is extremely comfortable to wear. It is quite lightweight, doesn’t dry out the lips at all and this makes it perfect for those who are used to the sacrifice of their dry lips for the sake of wearing matte liquid lipsticks.

Staying Power

Once, the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream settles down completely, it becomes almost transfer-proof and smudge-resistant. It doesn’t get transfer to the cups or glasses while drinking. It stays for good 4-5 hours without disturbing however, cannot survive meals and needs re-application. As far as I am concerned, I really don’t mind re-applying it as it is quite lightweight, doesn’t dry out the lips and doesn’t require a whole lot of lip-prepping.
