The gel comes in a huge, sturdy plastic tub with the screw open cap. On the cap, you will find the image of blossoming lotus making the packaging look attractive. Beneath the cap is provided an extra plastic lid to prevent the product spillage. All the necessary information is written in English as well as in the Korean language on the tub itself. The huge tub packaging doesn’t make it travel-friendly and is also unhygienic.

My Experience With The Face Shop Fresh Lotus Soothing Gel

The gel looks slightly pink in colour inside the tub however, it is a colourless clear gel. Though, it is mentioned that the gel is made up of clear, glass-like beads containing Lotus flower extract however, no beads can be felt to the touch. It has a smooth texture and a gel-like consistency. The gel gives a watery feel the moment it comes in contact with the skin. This texture makes it easy to massage it into the skin. The gel offers a refreshing and cooling sensation on the skin instantly without leaving behind any greasiness. The Face Shop Fresh Lotus Soothing Gel has a mild, pleasant floral fragrance that will not at all bother sensitive noses.

How Am I Using This Gel?

• As a Moisturising Agent

Lotus has skin hydrating and moisturizing properties so, I am using this gel to moisturize my skin. I apply this gel twice a day to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized. The Face Shop Fresh Lotus Soothing Gel is quite lightweight and relives any dryness. Moreover, it feels good to apply this gel on the skin after sun exposure as it instantly soothes and gives a cooling effect to the skin.

• In My Face Masks

Lotus is rich in anti-oxidants that offer protection to the skin by limiting the free radicals production that tends to damage skin cells thereby causing skin aging. Therefore, while preparing my homemade face masks, I use this gel as a solvent. The face mask prepared with this gel gives instant calming effect to the skin, acts as skin conditioning agent and also helps in reducing the signs the aging.

• I also use this gel on my skin after waxing to get that soothing and cooling feel.

Overall, I absolutely liked this product as it makes my skin super soft and smooth by hydrating it instantly. Moreover, it conditions the skin and adds a subtle glow. The skin looks healthy post application. The gel is apt for using in summer season as it felts like a water bomb on the skin and cools the skin immediately.  Therefore, I would definitely recommend buying this gel.
