In this scorching heat, we all look for some instant cooling solutions like menthol talc powder. Vaseline has recently come up with a cooling range that includes two products – one is a Vaseline Ice Cool Hydrating Lotion and the other is the body ice cream. I was quite excited to try body ice cream so, I purchased it from nykaa and here is its detailed review.

How To Use?

Vaseline Body Ice Cream comes in an aqua blue coloured tub packaging that looks quite soothing to the eyes. All the necessary product-related details are mentioned on the tub. However, the packaging is a little bulky so is not travel-friendly.

My Experience With Vaseline Body Ice Cream

The cream is light blue in colour and has a smooth gel-like texture. It has a very mild and refreshing fragrance that stays for around half an hour. As, the fragrance is not overpowering so, I believe it will not bother sensitive noses.

The cream spreads easily on the skin and turns a little watery on massaging. It offers a mild cooling sensation to the skin due to the presence of menthol in it. The sensation stays for around 2 minutes and so, is quite soothing for summers. However, I was expecting it to stay a little longer.

The cream gets absorbed quickly and doesn’t leave behind any greasiness. It is lightweight and is effective in keeping the skin hydrated for 4-5 hours. Moreover, it didn’t cause any sort of irritation to my sensitive skin so, I feel the cream is suitable for all skin types.

The cream contains glycerin which is a humectant and helps in retaining moisture in the skin. The third ingredient is niacinamide that helps in strengthening the skin barrier function by increasing the production of epidermal skin barrier lipids. This further helps in making the skin layer dense and prevents the escape of moisture, makes the skin more elastic and tough against all sorts of damaging factors. Overall, I really like Vaseline Body Ice Cream as it is a nice, lightweight body moisturiser that gets absorbed into the skin quickly without leaving behind any greasy residue and offers a mild cooling sensation which is so required during summers.
