We all know how beneficial Activated Charcoal is for our skin. Right? That is why, it is used in many skin care products. Activated charcoal has the ability to:

The kit contains 6 black coloured tiny tubes for conducting 6 facial steps. These tubes are numbered stepwise so, there will not be any problem even if you are not aware of the procedure. Moreover, these tubes are placed in a stand with grooves which makes it so convenient to keep these while using the kit. I really appreciate the team for such a creative idea. All the tubes come encased in a black coloured cardboard box that bears all the product-related details on it. Overall, the packaging is hygienic and travel-friendly.

My Experience With VLCC Activated Bamboo Charcoal Facial Kit

Step 1 – Cleanser

The cleanser is slightly black in colour and has a gel-like texture. It has a little thick but flowy consistency and has a mild fragrance that is not bothering. All you need to do is take a required quantity in your palm and add a little amount of water to form a lather. Apply it to your moisten face & neck and give massage for 2-3 minutes. The cleanser forms a satiny lather and is effective in cleaning the skin. However, post-application, the skin feels a little stretchy.

Step 2 – Scrub

The scrub is slightly black in colour, has a gel-like base and has some mild oil kind of fragrance. It contains a lot of tiny natural cellulose beads that are not harsh on the skin at all. The scrub spreads easily but make sure to apply it on the moist skin and do scrubbing with light hands for 2-3 minutes.

The moment, I started with the scrubbing process, I experienced some burning sensation on my skin which made me a little uncomfortable. So, people with sensitive skin types should consider this point before using this kit. The scrub is effective in removing impurities and dead skin thereby making it look clean and clear. However, the scrub is not effective in removing blackheads. Post application, that burning sensation still persisted for another 2-3 minutes till the time I started with the next step.

Step 3 – Massage Gel

The third step in VLCC Activated Bamboo Charcoal Facial Kit is massaging with a gel. The gel is black in colour and of course, has a gel-like texture. It has a mild herbal fragrance that is not overpowering. As per the usage directions, I took the required quantity on my fingertips and applied it to my face and neck. You need to keep massaging with this gel until it gets absorbed into the skin. The gel takes around 5-7 minutes to get absorbed. However, this time also, I experienced some burning sensation and I could see some red patches on my skin.  So, I washed my face and that sensation subsided. Then, I decided to move on with the process.

Step 4 – Massage Cream

The cream is greyish in colour and has a thick consistency. You need to apply the cream to your face and neck and then massage gently in circular and upward strokes for 5-6 minutes. Make sure to moisten your fingertips else it will not be easy to do massaging with this cream. When I was massaging with this cream, I didn’t experience any sort of irritation and it also helped in calming down my irritated skin. Post massaging, my skin was looking quite moisturized.

Step 5 – Pack

The pack is black in colour and has a mild herbal kind of fragrance. It has a little granular texture and spreads easily on the face. It really gave a nice soothing and calming effect to my skin. The pack takes around 7-10 minutes to get dry and is quite easy to rinse it off.

Step 6 – Serum

The serum is transparent and has a little runny consistency. A little amount of the serum is required so make sure to take the product out carefully. You need to apply the serum to your face and neck and give massage until it gets completely absorbed. The serum is quite lightweight and gets absorbed quickly into the skin with a little massage. It is non-greasy and doesn’t leave behind any greasiness on the skin.

Efficacy Of VLCC Activated Bamboo Charcoal Facial Kit

After using this kit, my skin was definitely looking so clean and clear. It helped in drawing out the impurities, dirt and gunk from the skin. If you are looking for some skin detoxifying and purifying treatment then, you can go for this kit. This kit can be used twice or thrice if used judiciously. However, I didn’t find any glow on my skin though, it was looking clean. Moreover, the kit doesn’t work on blackheads. According to me, this facial kit is apt for people with oily and combination skin types and may not be suitable for dry and sensitive skin types.
