Alps Goodness launched a new range of gel face scrubs last month which includes 4 variants – Gold, Papaya, Aloe vera & coffee. I purchased two variants – Gold & Papaya. I have already shared my review on Alps Goodness Face Gold Gel Scrub so, you can check that post as well. In this post, I will be talking about the papaya variant.

Packaging

Alps Goodness Face Papaya Gel Scrub comes in a plastic transparent container and is provided with a screw cap. Beneath the cap, is given an extra protective covering to prevent the product spillage. All the product related details are given at the base of the container. Overall, the packaging is small, sturdy and travel-friendly.

My Experience With Alps Goodness Face Papaya Gel Scrub

The scrub is a little orange in colour and has a papaya-like fragrance. The fragrance is not that strong so it will not bother sensitive noses. The scrub has a thick gel base and contains brown coloured walnut shell grits and some white coloured polymer beads. The texture is absolutely similar to the Gold variant and even the ingredient list is almost similar.

As per the usage directions, I apply the scrub on my wet face and massage for 2-3 minutes and then let it stay on my face for another 10-15 minutes. The exfoliating particles present in the scrub are not harsh on the skin however, it is always recommended to exfoliate your skin with light hands. Alps Goodness Face Papaya Gel Scrub offers gentle exfoliation and removes dirt, grime and impurities from the skin but is not effective in removing whiteheads or blackheads. So, if you are looking for a scrub that can work on your whiteheads and blackheads then this product is not for you.

Post rinsing, my skin looks clean and fresh and the good part is that it doesn’t dry out the skin. The scrub claims to control acne and also claims to lighten skin by clearing out blemishes and pigmentation as it contains papaya in it. Papaya offers a lot of benefits to our skin so, if you are interested in knowing these benefits, please go through the post 10 Surprising Benefits of Papaya for Skin and Hair. However, I don’t know whether it will be able to fulfill these claims or not as the complete list of the ingredients is not given. We have been provided with the key ingredients list and it is mentioned that the scrub contains papaya extract but in what quantity? So, we have no idea about that.

Overall, Alps Goodness Face Papaya Gel Scrub is a scrub that can be used by all skin types to get gentle exfoliation.
