Nykaa has launched its in-house lip care product called Nykaa Lip Crush Macaron Lip Balm in 6 variants. I have purchased the Green Apple 03 variant.

Do you want to know why the name Macaron is given to this lip balm? Let me tell you the meaning of the word Macaron. Macaron means a small round cake that is prepared with sugar, egg white and powdered almonds. It consists of 2 halves that sandwich a creamy filling. If you look at the packaging of Nykaa Lip Crush Macaron Lip Balm, you will find that it totally resembles a small round cake that has a creamy filling. Hence, the name is given to the lip balm.

The lip balm comes in a very cute plastic packaging which is transparent from the three sides with beautiful, cute little images of hearts and lips. The back side of the packaging is light green in colour as the name Green Apple suggests. Product description, shelf life and a few other details are mentioned on the back side of the packaging. However, neither the list of ingredients nor the price of the product is mentioned anywhere.

The actual product comes in a cute little container which is light green in colour. The packaging reminds of the small round cake having two halves that sandwich a creamy filling. When I saw the packaging I really felt like eating it. Overall, the packaging is super cute. Kudos! to the nykaa’s creative team for coming up with such a cute and wonderful packaging. However, I do prefer applicator kind of packaging rather than the container packaging.

My Experience With Nykaa Lip Crush Macaron Lip Balm Green Apple 03

Texture And Fragrance

The Lip Balm has a very smooth texture and a creamy consistency. It spreads easily and is quite comfortable on the lips. The Nykaa Lip Crush Macaron Lip Balm Green Apple appears slightly green in colour and has a very mild fruity fragrance. The Lip Balm is not tinted and doesn’t give any colour to the lips.

Efficacy

Let’s see how effective is Nykaa Lip Crush Macaron Lip Balm Green Apple in keeping the lips moisturized and hydrated? Enriched with Vitamin E and Shea butter, the lip balm is quite effective. It keeps the lips hydrated and well moisturized. It adds a nice sheen to the lips and my lips look glossy, soft and supple. I make sure to apply this balm before hitting my bed at night and in the morning I wake up with soft and well-moisturized lips. So, this lip balm can surely treat dry and chapped lips.

Staying Power

The lip balm has a nice staying power. Without any meals and drinks, it stays on for about 2-3 hours. Though, it can’t survive meals but can be re-applied whenever necessary to keep the lips moisturized.
